Site Management

Noise will be generated from a number of the construction activities, the main ones being blasting, rock crushing and processing operations.

All construction activities must comply with the maximum decibel levels specified in the Tasmanian Environment Protection (Noise) Regulations 1977, and the ANZECC guidelines on noise.

Dust will be generated from two main activities: blasting and movement of construction vehicles. The use of water trucks will suppress dust along the haul roads and access tracks, implementation of appropriate vehicle speed limits will reduce dust to acceptable levels.
