Deferred Purchase

Deferred Purchase provides for nominated additional volumes of irrigation rights to be secured now but purchased progressively over say 3 years. This provides certainty of the availability of water for irrigation in the future that matches planned water use.

The price paid for the Irrigation Right purchased in future years will be that secured at the time of signing the contract to purchase with a holding charge applied to the deferred Irrigation Rights as per the following example:

  • Irrigation Right per ML: $1000
  • Holding Cost on Deferred Amount: $65/ML

An initial deposit of $100/ML on the total amount of Irrigation Rights to be purchased must be paid within three months of signing the contract.
As with the other offers, once signed, the contract to purchase Irrigation Rights is a non-renounceable binding commitment.
