Environmental Management In the planning phases, the Meander Dam has passed the toughest environmental scrutiny of any project of its type in Australia. At State level, the Director of Environmental Management issued Environmental Protection Notice (EPN) 7345/1 for the construction and operation of the Meander Dam to the Rivers and Water Supply Commission in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994.
